The Japanese word that represents not just the physical heart but also encompasses our mind and spirit.

What a person thinks, feels, experiences.

One's self-image and outlook on life.

One’s emotional state of being.

Shaped uniquely by the countless experiences, interactions acquired through life.

We are the accumulation of all that we have experienced in our lives thus far.

心 ・ 'kokoro' - of the heart and mind

How often do we spend time caring for, nourishing, cherishing our heart and mind?

Our heart, mind and body are intimately connected oftentimes in ways that we overlook.

Though externally we could be functioning physically, showing up in our various commitments in life as expected of us, if emotionally we are not well, feeling vulnerable or pessimistic, drained and exhausted, as much as we focus on eating healthily, trying to clock adequate hours of sleep, we will not be able to lead our best lives.

How much time do we actually spend nourishing our heart and mind in the same way that we may try to eat healthily or exercise to get our physical health in better shape?

How we care for our heart and mind is just as important as how we care for our physical health.

How we speak to ourselves, the conversations we have with ourselves about our bodies, the confidence we have in ourselves to weather through life's challenges, the love, gratitude and optimism that we have for our lives and towards our loved ones around us  - these are all practices that determine our well-being. These are practices that can be developed, strengthened and nourished for the rest of our lives.

kokoro salon hopes to be a space for you to cultivate practices in self-care, in a balanced, holistic manner, nourishing love and respect for your heart, mind and body.

About Lynnette
Supporting your journey of self-care

Hello there!
I'm Lynnette, the founder of kokoro salon. As a Primary Care Physician and Wellness Instructor, my vision is rooted in nurturing holistic well-being, encompassing the mind, body, and spirit.

Throughout my years of experience as a primary care physician in Singapore, I've had the privilege of connecting with patients from all walks of life. These interactions have taught me the profound importance of adopting a holistic approach to health. It's not just about the absence of disease; it's about achieving a sense of wholeness in our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Life is a journey filled with ups and downs, and I understand the challenges we face along the way. Our emotional health is intrinsically linked to our overall well-being, as it influences every aspect of our lives. That's why I firmly believe that caring for our heart and mind is just as crucial as caring for our physical health.

At kokoro salon, we cultivate tools and practices to sustain your emotional well-being, no matter what life stage you find yourself in.

I deeply believe in the power of holistic self-care practices, such as Self-Massage and Aromatherapy. These practices tap into the healing nature of touch and smell, allowing us to reconnect with ourselves and engage deeply with our senses. They play a vital role in restoring balance, nurturing our inner selves, and bringing us back to a place of harmony and self-awareness.

With a balanced and personalised approach, my hope is to support you on your unique path to health and well-being. Whether you're just starting or have been on this journey for some time, I'm here to provide gentle guidance, empower you with knowledge, and celebrate every step of your progress.

With love,
Lynnette
